City of Reidsville


Gordonia-Alatamaha State, originally named Reidsville State Park, is located in Reidsville. The park was renamed for a small regional plant, Lost Gordonia, discovered in the 1770s. The park offers picnicking, swimming, fishing, boating, camping, a nine-hole golf course and tennis.

According to 2000 Census, the City of Reidsville had a population of 2,235 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population decrease of -9.5%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
